This radio is similar to the UV-5G Plus, but it comes as a single radio and the price is better. The functionality and the ability to program the radio is identical. The programming software and options for both UV-5G Plus and GM-5RH are interchangable. The difference appears to be the name printed on the radios. Both are labeled GMRS on the back of the radio and locked to GMRS channels. 4 stars because the radio is locked to GMRS channels without access to airband.
